Letter to Samuel Stevens, 1849 July 2.

Letter to Samuel Stevens, Adjutant General of the State of New York, calling his attention to Colonel Charles Hamilton, a personal and political friend of King. Colonel Hamilton is in charge of a munitions storehouse and would like access to ammunition for practicing. He also wants insurance to be taken out on the storehouse with safety responsibility given to Colonel Hamilton and Commissary-General Storms. Written at Long Island, N.Y.
